BSF Convention 2024

Celebrating Bonsai at the BSF Convention

The Bonsai Societies of Florida (BSF) is not just commemorating its 50th anniversary; it’s celebrating a legacy of bonsai mastery that continues to inspire. This year’s BSF Convention is a testament to that legacy, featuring a lineup of renowned artists who will be sharing their knowledge and passion for bonsai.

“Honoring our Past, Welcoming our Future” – This poignant quote encapsulates the essence of the BSF 50th-anniversary celebration. It reflects our deep respect for the traditions and achievements of our predecessors while embracing the innovations and fresh perspectives of today’s bonsai artists. This balance is crucial for the bonsai community as it ensures the art form remains vibrant and relevant for future generations.

As part of this golden jubilee, the BSF Convention is hosting a series of workshops and demonstrations led by some of the most prominent figures in the world of bonsai. Headlining the event are Walter Pall and Mauro Stemberger. Their critiques and demonstrations are invaluable opportunities for anyone interested in the art of bonsai.

The convention welcomes back Jennifer Price, whose previous headliner experience and assistance add to the depth of the event. Reggie Perdue, Ed Trout, Betty Siskind, Adam Lavigne, and Cosette Perdue round out the list of presenters, each bringing their unique style and expertise to the workshops and demonstrations.

The 2023 scholarship winners, Larry Naeder and Janice Barnes, will highlight their unique skills with demonstrations. Larry Naeder, a respected artist in the bonsai community. His sessions on Bougainvillea and Juniper are eagerly anticipated events where attendees can gain insights into his techniques.

This gathering of bonsai artists offers an unparalleled experience for enthusiasts and practitioners alike. Whether you’re looking to refine your skills or simply appreciate the beauty of bonsai, the BSF Convention is the place to be.
