Bonsai & Brews at Felicitous Coffee House

Have you ever wanted your own bonsai, but didn’t know where to start?  Join us for Bonsai & Brews at Felicitous Coffee & Tea House!

This event features a collaboration between Thunderstruck Bonsai and Felicitous on 42nd, a place to sip brews and sing the blues, while you work side-by-side with local bonsai artists to create your very own miniature masterpiece.

We’ll start off by educating you on the basics of the art of bonsai, then we’ll get down to business: break out some tools and give you an overview of the process. You’ll choose from a selection of pre-bonsai trees and ceramic bonsai pots,  and it’s time for some hands-on fun!  You will re-pot your own bonsai, practice pruning techniques, and more!

No tools are required – This event is open to everyone, and all skill levels: from beginners who’ve never touched a tree branch before to seasoned experts who love working on their tiny trees in front of strangers. If you’ve been thinking about getting into the craft of bonsai but don’t know where to start, book your ticket now!

Felicitous is an eclectic, independent and cozy coffeehouse near the University of South Florida serving the best locally-roasted coffee, tea, and in-house pastries.  100% locally-roasted artisan coffee by their own Treehouse Roasters.
