Join us on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and brace yourself as we strike the perfect balance between tradition and modernity. With Thunderstruck Bonsai’s expert artists guiding you, you’ll weather the art of bonsai creation and care, shaping your very own bonsai tree from scratch to take home. 🪴  

But the thunder doesn’t stop there! As you immerse yourself in this unique art form, you can enjoy a storm of flavors with drinks from Big Storm’s award-winning craft beer selection! 🍻 This electrifying experience takes place at Big Storm Brewing Co. – Ybor City, located at 1600 E 7th Ave, Tampa. Enjoy award-winning craft beers and delicious food, while admiring the beautiful brick architecture and clock tower of the Centro Ybor building.  

The cost of attending an event is $75 per person and includes:  

      • Your choice of a tropical species pre-bonsai tree  
      • Your choice of a glazed ceramic pot  
      • Wire, bonsai soil, and substrate  
      • Hands-on instruction to style and care for your new miniature masterpiece from award-winning bonsai artists  
      • Aftercare instructions and guidance

Have you ever wanted your own bonsai, but didn’t know where to start? Join us at Big Storm Brewing for Bonsai & Brews, on October 24th in Clearwater!

This event features a collaboration between Big Storm Brewing and Thunderstruck Bonsai.  You can expect to enjoy award-winning brews and work side-by-side with local bonsai artists as you create your very own miniature masterpiece.

We’ll start off by educating you on the basics of the art of bonsai, then we’ll get down to business: break out some tools and give you an overview of the process. You’ll choose a ceramic pot and pre-bonsai tree, and it’s time for some hands-on fun!  You will re-pot your own bonsai, practice pruning techniques, and more— while sipping on a cold one!

No tools are required – This event is open to everyone, and all skill levels: from beginners who’ve never touched a tree branch before to seasoned experts who love working on their tiny trees in front of strangers.
