Join Thunderstruck Bonsai for an exclusive Bonsai for Beginners workshop at The Surf RV Resort!
We’ll start off by educating you on the basics of the art of bonsai, then we’ll get down to business: break out some tools and give you an overview of the process. You’ll choose a ceramic pot and pre-bonsai tree, and it’s time for some hands-on fun! You’ll re-pot your own bonsai, practice pruning techniques, and more; under the direction of local bonsai artists.

Bonsai & Brews is a 2-hour workshop-style event hosted at local breweries, providing a DIY bonsai experience for beginners.
We start off by educating you on the basics of bonsai, then we’ll get down to business: break out some tools and give you an overview of the process. You’ll choose a ceramic bonsai pot and a pre-bonsai tree, and it’s time for some hands-on fun! You will pot your own bonsai, practice pruning techniques, and more— while sipping on a cold one!

There will be vendors selling plants and plant-related items. Vendors at this event are commercial growers and local clubs from throughout the state and are expert growers, who are available to field your questions.
The Botanical Gardens at USF is a non-profit, member-sponsored, educational facility. The Garden is open to the public six days a week (except on major holidays).
